The Octagon Music Hub works with a wide range of education settings across Somerset and Dorset to ensure that children and young people can access high-quality music education and opportunities to progress.

Through a partnership of music organisations, schools and educators, we support activity that enables young people to make music, develop their skills and experience the joy of performing and creating together.

Our work spans the full educational journey from early years settings through to secondary schools, as well as specialist provision including SEND schools, PRUs and alternative provision.

Different settings engage with the Hub in different ways. Some access curriculum support, instrumental programmes and ensembles, while others take part in creative projects, inclusive music activity or targeted programmes supporting children facing barriers to participation.
