Culture Quest Set to Inspire Dorset’s Young Explorers Through Creativity

A new county-wide initiative is giving children across Dorset the chance to discover arts, culture and creativity through exciting hands-on activities launching in Summer 2026.

Culture Quest will bring together Dorset’s cultural organisations and creative freelancers to deliver a programme of inspiring activities for children aged 5–11. Through a unique Culture Passport, young participants will be encouraged to explore new experiences, uncover hidden talents and build confidence by engaging with Dorset’s vibrant cultural offer.

The initiative aims to make arts and culture more accessible to families across the county, helping children experience everything from heritage and literature to music, performance and creative workshops.

A new Digital Map of Dorset’s children’s cultural activities has also been created, making it easier for families to discover opportunities in their local area while supporting collaboration between cultural organisations across the county.

By encouraging first-time cultural experiences and promoting exploration, Culture Quest will help children develop confidence, curiosity and creativity while creating lasting memories throughout Summer 2026.
