Wessex Arts Fest 2026

We are delighted to be working in partnership with Wessex Schools Music (Part of Wessex MAT) this year to invite your pupils and families to the Wessex Arts Fest.
The festival is taking place on Saturday 9th May at Thomas Hardye School in Dorchester. This is a completely free event for families which celebrates music, dance and drama through workshops, performances and opportunities to ‘have a try’ yourself. You can see the video from last year’s event here : Wessex Arts Fest 2025 – YouTube
This is relaxed, family-friendly day out, full of opportunities to try instruments, join in workshops, and get involved in activities.
The flexible drop-in style means families can stay for a short while or make a whole day of it.
The day runs from 10am – 3pm and it is very relaxed with people moving between performances and workshops. We will have a BBQ and other refreshments available, so you can come and make a day of it!
There will be activities for every age with Early Years workshops, performances to watch and join in with and family music making opportunities. See the full programme here: Wessex Arts Fest 2026 – Wessex Schools Music
If you would like to book a place on one of the workshops please complete this form: (adults and young people welcome!): Book a workshop
We look forward to seeing you there!
