Lang Lang Young Scholars Program

Established in 2008, the Lang Lang Young Scholars Program supports exceptionally talented young pianists during a crucial stage of their musical development. Every three years, a select group of scholars is chosen to receive mentorship from Lang Lang and leading international educators, alongside fully funded training, performance opportunities, and cultural experiences across North America, Europe, and Asia.

Scholars participate in academies and residencies at world-renowned institutions, including The Juilliard School, Curtis Institute of Music, Cleveland Institute of Music, Royal College of Music, University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna, and the Central Conservatory of Music, Beijing.

Since its launch, more than 60 young musicians from around the world have benefited from the programme, performing at prestigious venues and events including Carnegie Hall, Windsor Castle, and major international music festivals.

The programme promotes not only artistic excellence but also leadership, community engagement, and the positive impact of music through the Foundation’s Music Heals™ initiative.

Applications are assessed by an international panel of distinguished educators and artists. Full details, including application dates, eligibility criteria, repertoire requirements, and submission instructions, can be found at: https://langlangfoundation.org/program
