Welcome to Octagon Music Hub

We’re pleased to welcome you to the new Octagon Music Hub website.

Octagon Music Hub provides strategic leadership for music education across Dorset and Somerset. Funded by Arts Council England and working in partnership with the Department for Education, the Hub supports the delivery of the National Plan for Music Education by investing in partnerships, coordinating activity, and bringing schools and music providers together.

Our role is to support a strong, inclusive music education system across the region. We work with schools, cultural organisations, music providers and local partners to help ensure that children and young people can access high-quality music learning opportunities, whatever their background or circumstances.

This website will be a central place to find information about music opportunities, funding and partnerships, support for schools and educators, and guidance for parents, carers and young people. Over time, we’ll also be sharing updates, news and insights from across the music education sector in Dorset and Somerset.

We look forward to working with our partners and communities to support inclusive, high-quality music education and to help every child and young person experience the benefits of making music.
